Revival Begins Here

Many images come to mind when we think of healing and “revival,” but rarely do we hear a call to naked HONESTY in our own souls. Yet inner congruence, true integrity, and right alignment with God (within our identity as God's righteousness in Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:21) is paramount to “deliverance” and lasting health (just as Malachi 4:2 and 3 John 1:2 indicate).

In contemplating a gateway to blessing and restoration, May we remember the essential of honesty and "truth in the innermost being" (Psalm 51:6). This is not just honesty at a surface level, such as paying the tax man or not telling white lies. It is raw honest truth about one's substance and state of being - the very issue with which Jesus confronted the Pharisees. "White washed tombs," he called them - forms of godliness that were disconnected from Love's Power - pious and appearing right on the outside but hypocrites within, houses divided against themselves, incongruent, deceptive, or double-minded, unable to experience lasting stability, and misaligned in perception to the Presence and fullness of God.

Whatever is merely a house of cards in substance, may we have the strength to let it go, let it fall. Then turn our attention to strengthen the battlements of what is really true for us authentically. Let's not keep holding together ashes and illusions built on faulty foundations - whether religious, governmental, or born of toxic patterns due to low self worth and mistaken identity. Let us intentionally gather back the pieces of our souls that we prostituted out to live a lie. Let us reset our inner man to genuine internal peace, and step into a new day of soul health and lasting cure. (3 John 1:2)

For the sake of the generations to come, we each must be willing to do our part in this time. Big picture healing and genuine revival always starts with realigning ourselves first. Many have travelled too far or too fast over false ground, and now their souls have come to take them back (John O Donahue). It’s as though the soul of our entire world and its population is crying out for a renewal to her truest identity, purpose, and design. May the Morning Star arise in our hearts.
